Candace Parker has been cleared to play in the Final Four on Sunday with a brace on her shoulder. Just in case anyone was wondering, Candace Parker has more cajones than anyone reading this site, or quite frankly, more than pretty much the entire student population currently enrolled in college. (Funny side note, I accidentally wrote “poopulation” the first time around… okay, so maybe not “ha ha” funny, but c’mon… poopulation? That’s comedy).
This shouldn’t really come as a surprise to anyone seeing as how this is Parker’s last year, and she does seem to love Tennessee, as she has essentially cemented her place in the bastions of the Hill (or would you prefer annals?) alongside the likes of Peyton Manning, and um, just Peyton.
Hopefully the shoulder will only motivate her to play better and beat up on some Charles Woodson-esque accolade stealing Sylvia Fowles en route to a repeat in the championship game.
