The Men’s team took care of the SEC regular season championship as well as finishing off their home stand undefeated for the second straight season, and a few short hours later, not to be outdone, the Lady Vols defeated conference nemesis LSU to win the SEC tournament championship.
Congratulations to the Seniors (Nicky Anosike, Alberta Auguste, Shannon Bobbitt, Alexis Hornbuckle, and Candace Parker (sort of)) for their first SEC Tournament Championship. Of course, the Lady BasketVols are the defending National Champions, and will look to um, defend that title for Pat Summitt’s 8th Championship, to try to bring her that much closer to the legendary John Wooden.
There are some interesting developments in the world of Basketball for the BasketVols, and it will be interesting and exciting to see what the future holds.

Candace was off the charts good last night. It was a struggle but they played good defense and beat a strong LSU team. Will the Vols enjoy two national championships this spring?
