So, I was given the privilege of writing a guest post for Rocky Top Talk as Joel will be out of town this week. First off, I’d like to thank Joel for asking me to help out, and hopefully opening up my awesome super sarcastic writing style to a few folks who might not have been exposed to it otherwise.

You actually made a terrific point. At least, that’s a topic that’s been bugging me for years, so I assume it’s a great point.
Announcers are getting lazier and lazier. My big pet peeve is when they focus on only one or two players to the neglect of what’s actually happening in the game. Case study: Greg Oden in last year’s championship game when the announcers couldn’t figure out how a Florida guy could possibly get game MVP honors. Really?!?
