Wow,
Maybe we should be a UK blog? The University of Kentucky, best known for their horse racing department, has decided to play a little football, and knocked off the Tigers of Louisiana State. No doubt to the joy of the PETA people, who were mad about LSU’s mascot being a tiger. But is it okay when you give up a Tiger for a Wildcat? I mean, what really is a wildcat anyway? Isn’t any cat that isn’t domesticated a wildcat? These are the things that eat babies!
Congratulations to Kentucky on a huge win. Currently, Tennessee, Vandy (as of this writing.. they are still beating Georgia), and South Carolina control their own destinies in the SEC East race, but Kentucky is firmly within the picture of winning the East. At least Matt Flynn didn’t cry like a little girl after the game, but then again, he is 47 years old.
Speaking of Georgia. Man, they’ve been looking pretty awful over the past couple of seasons. Perhaps this is Mark Richt’s way of hinting to the Georgia fans and administration that he wants to take the FSU job as soon as Bobby Bowden dies it becomes available. Georgia was known for having “rebuilding” years turn into SEC Championship years, but perhaps all of the soul selling has finally caught up to Richt.
Bo Glue! (yes… bo… glue)
