How come no one’s ever written a song about Mississippi? Well, I suppose people have, but it’s never been anything THAT interesting.
That being said, the BasketVols didn’t really seem to care when the Bulldogs were playing their tiny violins following their first loss to an Eastern Division team this year.
Tennessee actually played like they gave a damn, still with only token pressure in the full court (supposedly due to the team being “too long” a.k.a. “lazy”), but with actual movement on offense.
The only bad part of the game (besides the late foul on the three point shooter) was that Tom Hammond was commentating the game. Give him a set of 20 horses at the Kentucky Derby and he can rattle off every single name without a hitch, but have a dude named Brian Williams on your team? That fucker is “Brian Johnson” tonight.

Isn’t it amazing that Hammond has never been hired to do basketball by anyone other than Raycom?
You know, it really is. What I want to know is, what qualifications does it really take to be an announcer for Raycom? I mean, I have a pubic hair on my toilet seat that would like to apply for a job. Except it doesn’t have hands with which to hold the pen to fill out the application.
David Banner not only made a song or two about the state of Mississippi, but he has made a few albums dedicated to that state. I’m just saying is all.
Thanks. Thanks for posting this. Its always cool to see someone educate the public.
