Is it really week 4?  Anyhoo, time for us to show you our Blogpoll for the week.  The top 25 is still murky, but at week 4, we’re starting to get some sort of clue as to who has talent (Bama, USC) and who doesn’t (um…Tennessee?).

Dropped Out: Arizona State (#17), Oregon (#18), Kansas State (#24).

Why Alabama as number 1?  My gut tells me USC is the better team at the moment, but Bama has a nicer resume.  Why not USC on top??  First, Virginia isn’t as good as I thought, so that win doesn’t count for much.  OSU struggled against Troy, which really hurts that win.  Bama has beaten Clemson, Tulane, and Arkansas, all of which are better than Virginia, and Clemson is probably better than OSU.  So at the moment, Bama has a nicer resume and deserves the top spot.

Things then stay the same until we come to Vanderbilt, which gets an eye popping 7 spot jump.  Why?  We’re gonna go ahead and jump on the Vandy bandwagon; look for the first winning season from them since Jesus was an alumnus.
